The Chinese-Russian conference on infectious diseases took place on November 8th online. It was organized by Beijing Youan Hospital, Capital Medical University and Beijing Municipal Health Commission. It was sponsored by the China-Russia cooperation project of the Belt and Road project of the city of Beijing. The meeting aimed to discuss substantive scientific research and clinical treatment related work through academic exchanges between the two sides, promote deeper high-quality and high-level long-term cooperation, and promote the development of the prevention and control and treatment of infectious diseases in the two countries.
The head of laboratory of molecular epidemiology and evolutionary genetics Dr. Igor Mokrousov delivered an invited lecture on the topic “Epidemic and endemic Mycobacterium tuberculosis clusters in Russia: linking phylogeography and pathobiology”.
Note: The main Chinese host of the conference, Beijing Youan Hospital affiliated to the Capital Medical University is a large-scale comprehensive medical center that integrates the prevention, treatment, health care and recovery. It was founded in 1956, its area is 52 thousand square meters. m., there are currently 750 hospital beds. The hospital has several domestic leading disciplines, such as the hepatobiliary surgery, liver transplantation surgery, tumor minimally invasive treatment, immunity and biotherapy therapy and the infection and HIV/AIDS diagnosis and treatment etc.
