On September 15 to 22, 2023, Vladimir Dedkov, Deputy Director for Research; Anna Gladkikh, Head of the Molecular Genetic Monitoring Laboratory; Margarita Popova, Junior Researcher of the Molecular Genetic Monitoring Laboratory, visited the Republic of Vietnam in course of implementation of the Federal project " Sanitary shield – health safety (prevention, detection and response).”
A number of meetings were held with the leaders and staff of the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang and the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City. During the working meetings the plans to implement research within the framework of the scientific fields “Study of the genetic diversity of SARS-CoV-2 strains circulating in Vietnam” and “Surveillance of zoonotic infections in Vietnam” were discussed. Also meetings were held with PhD students, where a further work plan for the successful completion of thesis research were discussed and compiled.
