On March 27-29, Moscow hosted the XV Annual All-Russian Congress on Infectious Diseases. The event was initiated and organized by the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Welfare, the Central Research Institute of Epidemiology of Rospotrebnadzor, the National Association of Specialists in Infectious, All-Russian Scientific and Practical Society of Epidemiologists, Microbiologists and Parasitologists.
At the congress, reports were presented on the following topics: COVID-19, influenza, natural focal infections, tick-born infections, parasitic and fungal diseases, tuberculosis and viral hepatitis, vaccine prevention of infectious diseases, etc.
Within the framework of the Congress, a competition of young scientists was held, in which 50 poster presentations were presented. Alena Gerasimova, junior researcher at the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics won the competition for young scientists, having received a diploma of the III degree.
