The third International Conference on the Evolution and Paleoepidemiology of Tuberculosis ICEPT-3 was held in a hybrid format in Szeged, Hungary on July 5-6, 2022. The organizer of the conference is the Institute of Biology of the University of Szeged (Hungary). The conference was attended by leading experts in the field and actively working on molecular microbiology, paleoepidemiology, paleogenetics, drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains, the use of modern bioinformatics algorithms and statistics for the reconstruction of the evolution of Mycobacteria. Igor Mokrousov, head of the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics, was a member of the Scientific Committee of the conference and made an oral presentation online entitled "Pathobiology and phylogenomics of M. tuberculosis Beijing and LAM genotypes in Russia" (RSF grant 19-14-00013).
Similar to the ICEPT-2 conference proceedings (Szeged, Hungary, 2012;

BE_95_S1), the ICEPT-3 conference proceedings will be published in a special issue of Tuberculosis.
