From June 10th to 17th, 2019 Diana Valutite, specialist of clinical laboratory diagnostics of St. Petersburg Pasteur Institute, conducted the research "Seroepidemiological and molecular epidemiological study of HIV and viral Hepatitis B, C and D in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 2018-2022" in the laboratory of HIV infection of Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam).
The work-plan for the business trip was completed: the samples from various groups of patients were studied according to the research plans (a large amount of samples was collected from infants born to HIV-infected mothers and patients with chronic HBV and HCV). The samples from the population of South Vietnam are currently being collected.
Based on the obtained data the study of resistant mutations in infants born to HIV-infected mothers and molecular-genetic features of HBV and HCV is planned.
