On October 9, 2026, a delegation from the People's Republic of China visited the Institute within the frames of the project on tuberculosis supported by Russian and Chinese science foundations (project leaders: Igor Mokrousov and Adong Shen).
During a meeting with Chinese colleagues from Zhengzhou Children's Hospital and Beijing Children's Hospital, Dr. S.A. Egorova, the Institute's Deputy Director for Innovation, outlined the Institute's international scientific and practical collaborations. Dr. Zhang Yaodong, Director of the Pediatric Institute at Zhengzhou Children's Hospital, described the areas of activity and international cooperation of the hospital.
The Chinese scientists visited the Laboratory of Molecular Epidemiology and Evolutionary Genetics (head of laboratory – Dr. Igor Mokrousov) and discussed the results of the joint project supported by Russian Science Foundation and National Natural Science Foundation of China, entitled “Multifaceted adaptation of Mycobacterium tuberculosis to new-generation antibiotics at population and individual levels and impact on transmission”.
During a visit to the Laboratory of Identification of Pathogens (Dr. Daria Neronskaya), potential areas of collaboration regarding the study of Helicobacter pylori were discussed.
