On April 14-15, 2026, Dr. Vladimir Dedkov, Deputy Director for Research, visited the Venezuelan Institute of Scientific Research (IVIC) and the Rafael Rangel National Institute of Hygiene (INHRR) in Caracas, Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
During the visit, the parties held a joint meeting with representatives of the St. Petersburg Pasteur Institute and the Russian Anti-Plague Institute "Microbe" of the Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing, with the newly appointed leadership of INHRR. The scientific results obtained during joint research conducted as part of the international extraterritorial monitoring program, as well as potential publication options, were discussed. The scope and details of the research planned for 2026 and subsequent years were clarified.
The parties expressed confidence in the feasibility and necessity of continuing bilateral cooperation.
