From October 27 to November 7, 2025, Maria Makarova, Head of the Institute's Intestinal Infections Laboratory, Samida Zhamborova, Junior Researcher, and Anastasia Shikhanova, Laboratory Research Assistant, participated in a joint research study on antibiotic resistance in infectious disease pathogens in Vietnam within the framework of the One Health concept (Republic of Vietnam, Nha Trang).

Based on the results of the study, a report was prepared and a plan for further joint research on antibiotic resistance in infectious disease pathogens in Vietnam within the framework of the One Health concept was agreed upon. It was recommended to continue collecting food samples (poultry, pork, pork tongue, pâté) and feces from patients with signs of acute intestinal infection, in accordance with the Memorandum.

Following a meeting with the Director of the Pasteur Institute in Nha Trang, the project coordinator, and laboratory staff, an agreement was reached regarding prospects for further collaboration aimed at identifying the etiological factors of acute intestinal infections, as well as monitoring the resistance of pathogenic microorganisms to antibiotics in Nha Trang.
