During the period from December 9 to December 23, 2017, within the framework of the program of Russian-Vietnamese cooperation, a study tour was conducted by the delegation of the Institute led by the Director of the Institute Areg Totolian on the organization of training seminars for specialists of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (Vietnam) and the implementation of planned research topics (Scientific research work), including on the issue of improving epidemiological surveillance, laboratory diagnosis and prevention of HIV infection, viral hepatitis, measles and rubella.
The scientists visited the Russian-Vietnamese Tropical Research and Technology Center (Hanoi), as well as the establishment of the international network of Pasteur institutes in Vietnam (National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology (Hanoi), Pasteur Institute (Ho Chi Minh), Pasteur Institute (Nha Trang).
As a result of the visit of the delegation of the Institute, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between St. Petersburg Pasteur Institute and the Pasteur Institute in Ho Chi Minh City, which provides for joint implementation of research topics and conducting training seminars within the framework of the program of the Russian-Vietnamese cooperation.
